Life Changing Adventure (02/02/09)

Hello All, ... Big week here! Last monday I married my true love. I have also found that after 3 years of being single as a parent I am learning via my spouse that I am allowed to let her help me out now. I find myself tripping myself up over little things. my habits are a bit different then hers so we are adjusting to our different ways of life. yep we are having fun ... Grammy Whammy

As I recall, the Grammy Awards were the other night. I didn’t watch. I was busy viewing reruns of “Arrested Development” over on HULU. Zen and the Art of Parenting

This morning’s mad rush to get out of the door on time was side tracked by my daughter. She lost her shoes. Actually, she lost her back up pair of shoes. She lost her everyday pair of shoes last week. I tore the house apart, searched the garage, and scoured the front yard, back yard and side yard. No shoes! ... Our choice of footwear for the day was between an old pair of church shoes, that were 3 sizes too small and a one size fits all pair of pink fuzzy snow boots. She chose the snow boots.

Am I a Stage Father?

My dad used to own a small business and worked a lot of hours so he wasn't able to attend many functions, but when he did show up it meant so much that it really burned a moment in my memory bank. Now that I am a father I make it a point to be there for as much as I can (which is just about everything) that it got me wondering if in the grand scheme of things will it get taken for granted? ... Finally! A place to talk about being a father. To hear from other guys who are, and who have been in my position for years. I've been looking around DadLabs for a couple of days now, and this is great. EXACTLY what I've been looking for ... Dani (the Wifey) is due April 17th, and I've found that I'm not really worried about what I thought I would be worried about. I thought I'd worry about raising him/her right. I just stumbled upon this site yesterday and I must say I love it. Smart, funny and stuff that I can relate too. As a stay at home dad I have forever been looking for an outlet that I can relate to. So many other parent sites are so mother centered that they find little room for father issues and don't get me started on "parents" magazines.
